The facilities of the Biodiversity Institute include laboratories, student and faculty research areas and collections storage for about 8 million living and fossil plants, animals and about 1.5 million archaeological artifacts. Additional facilities include the laboratories and classrooms associated with the academic partners of the Biodiversity Institute, such as the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and other partners such as the KU Field Station and Ecological Reserves.
