Lifemapper-VisTrails Software Update

The Biodiversity Institute Informatics team has released an update of its Lifemapper client software (1.1.0) which enables Lifemapper analysis services integration with other software programs. Additionally, the group updated the Lifemapper-VisTrails software module, which embeds Lifemapper environmental niche modeling capabilities into the VisTrails workflow environment. VisTrails is a scientific workflow management system developed by the University of Utah which enables scientists to intuitively construct data processing pipelines, scientific data analysis and visualization. It is a key software platform of the NSF EPSCoR-funded cyberCommons collaboration with three partner universities. See the Lifemapper web site and the Informatics research blog for more information.
