RegistrationRegistration and submission of abstracts are simple on-line processes.
Discounted Early Registration Deadline: June 30th
Registration is via an on-line portal operated by KU Continuing Education. The registration portal also offers booking of space in the dorm rooms (booking of hotel rooms is separate process, see step 3). If you book a space in the dormitory, you will be contacted later with a request for any desired room-mate preferences. We will do everything in our power to match room-mates with mutual requests, regardless of gender. Other options available during registration include: signup for tours of KU Herpetology, Allen Press, or the Henry Fitch Natural History Preserve, purchase of tickets for the picnic, opportunities to volunteer as a session chair or award competition judge, signup for the SSAR mentorship program, and a chance to indicate whether you prefer a vegetarian dining option for meeting events.
Submission of Presentation Titles and Abstracts
We are no longer accepting presentations for SSAR 2015
Titles and abstracts for oral presentations and posters must be submitted separately from registration via the Easychair Conference System. In order to submit a presentation, you will first need to generate an account with the portal (easychair.org). We apologize for the need to complete this registration process. After registering, presentation submission is fairly straightforward. Use the topics offered as checkboxes to help us determine where to place your presentation among our concurrent sessions or two poster sessions. Invited symposium participants will have the option of the selecting their symposium affiliation. Signup for student competitions (Seibert and Hutchison) will also be permitted during the presentation submission process. Presentations will be projected digitally using standard equipment and software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, etc.). Digital versions of presentations will be submitted at the time of the meeting, details will follow for presenters.
Book a Hotel Room and Travel
After registering (and possibly submitting a presentation) we recommend that those who have not booked a room in the dormitory during the registration process make other lodging arrangements and book travel to Lawrence. Space will be limited at most locations. See our housing page for more on the available options. In order to obtain the conference rate at The Oread, Spring Hill Suites, or The Holiday Inn you need only reference your attendance to SSAR 2015. Our travel page offers guidance on travel to Lawrence. Be sure to read the important warning about arranging for transportation from the airport to Lawrence.
