Scout Programs

NOTE: In-person badge workshops are only being scheduled as outdoor programs at this time, due to museum capacity limitations in following COVID-19 protocols.

You may schedule an outdoor badge workshop adjacent to your visit to the museum (advance registration required). If interested in this option, please contact our Outreach & Engagement Coordinator, Eleanor Gardner, prior to reserving your advance tickets to confirm availability for an adjacent scout program. We are also still offering virtual scout experiences; those can be arranged by contacting Eleanor. More virtual experiences can be found on our Museum From Home webpage, which is full of fun, hands-on science learning activities and explorations for a variety of age groups.

The museum has programs for Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and members of Scouts BSA. We offer fun, hands-on activities to develop skills and knowledge in a variety of science fields. We currently offer programs that meet requirements for a variety of badges and programs.  Programs are $5 per scout, with a minimum of one adult leader/chaperone per group. A minimum of three scouts are required to reserve a program, and a maximum of fifteen are allowed in one program.  To schedule a scouting program at the museum, please complete and submit this registration form.  For more information about future Scouting programs or to assess your troop’s unique needs, contact the museum’s Outreach & Engagement Coordinator, Eleanor Gardner, via email or call (785)-864-2380.
