Discovery Day: Teeny Tiny Organisms
Sunday, July 28
1:00 - 3:00pm
KU Natural History Museum
Explore the biodiversity of microscopic life, from tardigrades to fossilized organisms to microbes smaller than a grain of rice! Escape the summer heat and enjoy an educational afternoon at the museum with our research scientists including herpetologists, botanists, paleontologists and more, plus our great outreach team! Explore specimens such as live tardigrades, tiny amphibians, mosses, microbes, small fossils, and more. Microscopes will be set up for viewing many of the specimens, and we'll have plenty of hands-on activities, scavenger hunts for the entire family, and a tardigrade selfie station set up!
