Story Book Science returns in-person to investigate winter wonderlands and the animals that inhabit them! The KU Natural History Museum’s Education Coordinator, Colleen MacGilvray, will read Jan Brett’s beautifully illustrated book Cozy on Saturday, December 11, at 10:30am in the museum's Panorama gallery. After the reading, explore topics from the book with several hands-on activities and specimens with the museum’s Public Education team between 11:00am and 12:00pm!
Registration is required for the reading, as space is limited to 30 participants, including adults and children. (At least one adult must be present with children throughout the duration of the reading.) Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Request to register at: tinyurl.com/Story-Book-Registration. Registration is not required to attend the hands-on activities after the reading. This reading is targeted towards children between the ages of 4 and 8 and their adults, although all are welcome!
Registration closes on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 5:00pm. Individuals with disabilities that require reasonable accommodations to participate in the event should contact Colleen MacGilvray (firstname.lastname@example.org) by November 26, 2021, with their accommodations.
