Shark Awareness Day
Thursday, July 14
9:00am-5:00pm
KU Natural History Museum, Dyche Hall
Sharks play an essential role in keeping the seas healthy and productive, but a variety of threats make these incredible animals vulnerable to extinction. Shark Awareness Day is an opportunity for people of all ages to learn about the importance of protecting one of the world’s oldest ocean creatures. In honor of this day, explore our galleries with our special self-guided “Explore & Discover: Sharks” guide to find all the shark specimens, both fossil and modern, on display throughout the museum.
