Jayhawk Dreamin'
Every KU basketball fan dreams of owning a Jaydreamin’ print, but few can say they own one signed by five legendary KU basketball coaches: Bill Self, Roy Williams, Larry Brown, Ted Owens and Dick Harp. Created by Kansas artist Jon Onion, Jaydreamin’ depicts a young boy in a blue tank top sitting atop a basketball and gazing toward the place where basketball dreams come true. This framed, signed print is a one-of-a-kind piece of KU basketball history and a must-have for any Jayhawk fan.

Lion Grotesque Replica
Bring home a piece of Dyche Hall with this replica of the iconic lion grotesque. The original lion grotesque, holding the Kansas pennant, was carved by Joseph Roblado Frazee, as part of the 12 mythical guardians adorning Dyche Hall. Around 1995, four of the original grotesques were removed when a north wing was added to the building. A dozen concrete replicas of the lion grotesque were created then, including this one, which was gifted to Dr. Phil Humphrey, former director of the KU Natural History Museum from 1967 to 1995.
The replica is embossed with the Natural History Museum's name and logo from 1995.
Ponds, Pond Fish, And Pond Fish Culture
Own a piece of Kansas natural history with this signed 1914 copy of Ponds, Pond Fish, and Pond Fish Culture by renowned naturalist and taxidermist Lewis Lindsay Dyche, the namesake of KU’s Dyche Hall. Drawing on Dyche's extensive knowledge of natural history and fish, the book explores fish species, their habitats and the role of fish in human culture. This unique book would make a memorable addition to any natural history or fishing collection. This signed copy includes a handwritten inscription with a bit of timeless fishing wisdom:
“It is said that: Gamefish bite best when the wind is in the west. Suckers and Bullheads bite almost any old time.”
Kansas Fieldwork Expedition
Spend a day in the Kansas tallgrass prairies as an honorary member of the KU Entomology Division! Led by Biodiversity Institute and Natural History Museum Director Nico Franz, a group of up to five people will explore the Konza Prairie, one of the best-preserved and most biodiverse tallgrass prairies in Kansas, in search of weevils and other insects.
Get a firsthand look at how KU researchers conduct fieldwork, collect specimens, and contribute to biodiversity research. After a day in the field, celebrate your discoveries over lunch in Manhattan before heading back to the lab to process your insect samples.
