Scout Programs


The KU Natural History Museum offers scout programs for a variety of groups including Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Scouts BSA. Programs are led by Outreach and Engagement Coordinator, Eleanor Gardner who is also a paleontologist and a life-long Girl Scout. See a full list of programs below.

In addition to earning official badges connected to the skills they’re learning, Scouts can also earn Fun Patches for participating in special events or activities. The KUNHM is proud to offer a unique fun patch all about the field of paleontology called the I Dig Fossils Patch — Become a paleontologist for an afternoon. Explore the history of life in our fossil hall, enjoy hands-on activities, and learn about paleontology-related career options!
