KU Symbiota
Symbiota is designed for efficient and collaborative digitization as a collections management system, and as an open data exploration and publishing tool. To date, over 60 Symbiota portals have been used to mobilize 90 million biological specimen records from 2,000 collections worldwide.

Media Hosting
Services: Storing and serving mainly web-ready images related to biodiversity records, including linkage to external systems, where applicable.Rates: $3.00/GB/year (nonprofit discounts available)

New Portal Setup
Services: Portal configuration, styling, data ingestion, activation, module population. Setup may be full or partial (price scaled accordingly). Applicable to individual portals generated outside of the NSF iDigBio project context.Rates: $5,506/portal (full setup)

Continuing Portal Maintenance
Services: Portal management, maintenance, security administration, code updates. Applicable to individual portals generated outside of the NSF iDigBio project context.Rates: $7,424/year

Tool Development & IT Support
Services: Software and database feature development, customization, fixes, adjustments. Custom support for development, installation, and other IT needs.Rates: $226/hour

Data Processing & Improvement
Services: Data manipulation, cleaning, and other transformations.Rates: $124/hour

Digitization & Workflow Support
Services: Custom support for digitization, data management, data mobilization, and related topics.Rates: $63/hour

Custom Data Products
Services: Creation and formatting of custom data outputs, integration with other data sources, and data visualizations.Rates: $83/hour
